What is homeroom?

homeroom is a safe haven for lovers of style, shopping and community.

We’re two best friends on a mission to conquer a simple premise with a million possible variations: ‘where can I find…?’

Our weekly dispatches help take the overwhelm out of getting dressed with advice on how to do it well, plus shopping guides that offer a market edit of the season’s best pieces. Our guest edits offer a glimpse inside the minds — and wardrobes — of some of Australia’s most well-dressed people.

In 2024, we both had babies and our lives lurched into new territory. This newsletter is our creative and sartorial lifeline while we train our offspring to become co-CEOs and relaunch the website in earnest.

Every item we recommend is Australian.

Subscribe so we can do the homework for you.

And who are you two?

When will I hear from you?

We publish newsletters weekly, which might include an edit of the season’s best pieces, a guest edit or interview, advice on how to get dressed with some visual inspiration sprinkled in or a round-up of the things we’re both coveting.

Occasionally we get gifted pieces from labels, which we so appreciate — but we only recommend products we genuinely love.

For $8 a month or $60 a year, paid subscribers get access to exclusive weekly content, full archival access and an invitation to join the inner sanctum of homeroom — which is really just a fancy way of saying you’ll be invited to our close friends on Instagram and our private Pinterest board.

Why should I pay for a subscription?

  • Paying subscribers get exclusive access to our full edits and How To Get Dressed content series

  • Access to our full archive

  • Option to be added to our Close Friends group on Instagram where we answer your style conundrums and queries — just email us after you’ve signed up for a paid subscription with your IG handle to be added

  • Our founding subscribers will also be invited to our private IG chat room

Every paid subscription enables us to keep delivering this newsletter, and goes towards maintaining and developing the ultimate Australian fashion resource: our website!
